In this plan, you can enjoy sightseeing in Miyajima wearing "Tsuboshozoku." Tsuboshozoku is the costume worn by women of noble ancestry when they went out for visiting temples. The costumes are tailored with carefully selected fabrics from Kyoto's long-established kimono stores, with both traditional items as lovely patterns. Please choose the outfit that you like the most. You may imagine that it takes time to put on "Heian costume" but actually you can be dressed in the genuine "Tsubo-shozoku" in the blink of an eye.You will change into a noble woman only in about ten minutes. You will wear the red "Kake-obi"on the shoulder which is a protective and purifying charm. And worn around your neck is "Kake-mamori" that contains medicine or amulet. It has the shape of candy and looks so cute. Lastly you will wear "Ichimegasa,"a sedge hat with curtain like sheer cloth, that works as a sun hat and insect repellent.
After changing your clothing, you can go outside(Up to 1 hour 30 minutes). 。There are various sightseeing spots within a walking distance, so please try to go there. Although you cannot take a walk in the Itsukushima Shrine premises, the five-storied pagoda, and the coastal areas around the Otorii (the Grand Gate) wearing Tsuboshozoku, there are many more wonderful places in Miyajima! Please enjoy the strolling in the famous "Daisho-in"Temple with more than 1200 years of history and "Momijidani park" in the heart of nature's bounty where the traditional Tsuboshozoku will stand out against the background . （ If it rains, you cannot go out for a walk. The plan will be changed to an indoor experience but you can take beautiful photos in Tsuboshozoku which is an unique experience you can have in Miyajima without getting wet. (30 minutes at 4650 yen(tax excluded).)
As you will not be accommpanied by a guide, you can take photos freely with your friends using your own camera or smartphone. There is no doubt that you can take pictures like postcards against the background of scenic Miyajima. Why don't you post them on SNS immediately?

It is prohibited to walk in Itsukushima Shrine premises (including coastal roads around the Otorii, the Grand Gate, and areas around the five-storied pagoda, etc). Please enjoy walking in Daisho-in Temple and the Momijidani Park.

On rainy days, the walking in Tsuboshozoku is cancelled and the plan will be changed to an indoor experience.
From the end of May to September, "Tsuboshozoku" for summer with thin and breathable material is available. So you can experience the activity even in the hot season.
From October to May, the ordinary "Tsuboshozoku" up to XL (international standard size) is available. From the end of May to September, summer "Tusuboshozoku" up to L size is available.
