This tour will be held in the up north area of Kyoto called "Nishijin" known as one of the most traditional areas in Japan.
In this experience, you will visit a family-owned small business specializing in making fresh organic tofu and learn how to make it and try their fresh tofu. Everything is made from scratch, that means you will get the chance to see and learn how tofu is made from soybean to final product. Tofu is a major part of Japanese food culture, so this is a unique opportunity to see how tofu is made in a traditional and organic way. This home-made tofu will be the best tofu that you will ever try in Japan. Your host Kame san is really friendly and open-minded so that you will feel like a home at his place. After the tofu making experience, you may have lunch made by Kame san's wife. Lunch comes with various kinds of Tofu cookings and they are healthy for the travelers. You will get to see inside of traditional Japanese Kyoto Machiya house. Do not miss this exclusive tofu making experience!
