The Cahal Pech Mayan site is located on top of a hill smack in the middle of the twin towns of Santa Elena and San Ignacio in western Belize. This site was once considered home to the Elites or Royalties of the Mayas in the region during the classic period of their Civilization. Visiting this site allows you to experience the royal palaces, plazas, and courtyards of this elite community. Visitors will be able to observe the intriguing architecture of the buildings, including the commonly used Corbel Arches.
