About this activity
'LARNACA' is one of the nicest parts of the island. In the 18th century AD it became the commercial centre of the island which once was the agricultureal heartland for potatoe groving of the distinctive red soil. 'Salt Lake' is one of the most important wetlands in Cyprus. In the summer the water evaporates and salt crystals can be seen. In winter you can see different species of birds besides thousand of flamingos, wild swans and other migrating birds at the salt lake. 'Hala Sultan Tekke' which is a Holly Place to the Islam World,'Buyuk Camii' will be the next stop in the city 'Larnaca Fort and Medieval Museum' will be another stop of the program'. The castle was built by Lusignans but it was rebuilt before 1625 during Ottoman period. Later on it was used as a prison. There is a nice museum inside that one must see.
