Caral is an amazing archaeological area located 4 hours northern Lima. It is an impressive complex of ancient buildings made from mud bricks, rocks, shicras (old fiber bags made of reed) and other materials. There, you will be explained by your professional tour guide about how the civilization started in this continent 5000 years ago and its importance as world heritage. You will be impressed by the ancient ceremonial temples, stepped pyramids, sunken circular plazas, and other stunning arquitectonic structures that this place has well preserved, since the area is so dry.
