About this activity
Put your senses to the test when you taste the local products of one of the most representative local markets of the region. Next, you'll get to visit Chinatown, the largest in South America, where you'll get the chance of having samples of classical and famous Peruvian-Chinese dishes.
You will also take a walk in the Historic Centre of Lima, as you take a look at its main monuments and its elegant architecture. After a brief walk you'll make a short stop at a local restaurant where you'll meet a chef and be able to join him in the kitchen to observe the making of ceviche from the scratch, which will surely be a great gastronomic experience!
Next, you will enjoy a tour around the streets of Barranco, a quarter mentioned in Mario Vargas Llosa's novel “The City and the Dogs”.
In this part of town you'll visit some of the best shops of the area. As you may know, most of the best handicrafts coming from Peru can be related to these markets.
To finish an amazing day touring the area, you'll visit another restaurant and taste the famous local dessert: picarones.
