Stop At: Omodos, Omodos, Limassol District

Further to the transfer from Limassol to the meeting point "Kantou" with the rest of the group from Paphos, there, at the foot of the mountains among vineyards, lies Omodos village, protected by UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). We will walk through its narrow cobbled streets and visit Timios Stavros Monastery. The monastery is famous for containing a piece of the Holy Cross and Rope.

Stop At: Lambouri Winery, Ag. Demetrius Str. 24A Platres, Limassol 4825 Cyprus

We will continue our journey stopping at the winery, where you will have a chance to taste Commandaria and Zivania among other local wines.

Stop At: Trooditissa monastery, On the Southern slopes of the Troodos Mountains, Troodos 4800 Cyprus

Trooditissa Monastery is situated on the southern slopes of the Troödos Mountains on the island of Cyprus. It is an Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

It was founded in 990, but the current building dates back to 1731. It is built at an altitude of 1,500m (4566 feet) and the closest village is Plátres.

Stop At: Kykkos Monastery (Panagia tou Kykkou), 20km (12 miles) W of Pedoulas village, Pedoulas Cyprus

The journey will then take us to the top of Troodos Mountains where we will visit the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios the first President of Cyprus.

We will then drive through the mountain villages of Pedoulas and Prodromos to the richest and most famous monastery of the island, Kykkos monastery. One of the miraculous icons of the Virgin Mary, which is said to have been painted by St. Luke during her lifetime, is kept here. After that, you will have a chance to enjoy local food at a restaurant and do some shopping in the square in front of the monastery.

Stop At: Petra tou Romiou, Kouklia, Cyprus

On the way back to Paphos we will visit the birth place of APHRODITE – this is one of the most stunning places on the coast of Cyprus, where, and for a good reason, Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam. It is believed that bathing in these waters prolongs youth and beauty – we will have the opportunity to make sure of this ourselves.
