About this activity
Visit: Hunt Museum, The Custom House Rutland St., Limerick Ireland

Amazing Summer Exhibition at the Hunt Museum getting rave reviews. It is really a once in a lifetime opportunity to see pictures that are normally in private collections from two of Ireland’s hidden gems.

Lavery a catholic, born in Belfast made a name for himself as a first world war artist and society portrait painter. His light canvasses are immediately appealing and very accessible. Scenes of Tangier and Florida compliment portraits of Hazel Lavery his wife

Osborne was a protestant born in Dublin, a prize winner in his early years, his artistry was enhanced as he learnt from travelling and attendance of the Antwerp school. He paints beautiful plein-air scenes, observed directly from nature and his composition has been learnt from the greats. A painters painter his works draw you in.
