About this activity
* The Mirador Suberco is located 110 meters above sea level, in Sítio, Nazaré, Portugal.
* The Ermida da Memória was erected in 1182 on a cave where, during the Muslim period, there was the image of a Black Virgin - Our Lady of Nazareth, sitting to nurse the Child Jesus.

Its construction is linked to the figure of D. Fuas Roupinho and to the episode of the Legend of Nazareth. It then presented the structure in the form of a simple porch, with the open sides in the form of arches.

In the fourteenth century the primitive arches were entailed, and the hermitage decorated with sculptures of stone in the exterior, meanwhile disappeared.
* The Church of Nazareth, is located in the Nazareth Site, a neighborhood of the Nazareth Village (Portugal). Inside, the sacred image of Our Lady of Nazareth, a Black Virgin, carved from wood, brought from Merida to this Site, is kept in the year 711. The history of this image is told in the Legend of Nazareth.

On the site there are also the three shrines where the venerated image of the monastery of Cauliniana convent took place in the year 711, led by Friar Romano. After the defeat of the Christian army in the battle of Guadalete, the monk fled from the Muslim invaders in the company of D. Rodrigo, the last Visigothic king, fugitive after the defeat of his army. The choice of destination, on the Atlantic coast, is perhaps due to the existence of a Visigothic monastery in the vicinity, of which the church of São Gião, classified as a National Monument in 1986, still stands.
* Ascensor da Nazaré Within 15 minutes, runs a distance of 318 meters (50 of which in tunnel), with a slope of 42%, linking the center of the village, Nazaré Beach, to the Sítio da Nazaré and is a funicular modern, very comfortable and safe, and one of the transports of its kind with the highest traffic in Portugal, reaching a million passengers per year! And not for less, because the route is interesting and the scenery up there to breath-taking!
* The Center of the Village of Nazaré and is extensive Avenue
* The medieval village of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and well preserved in Portugal. Close enough to the capital and situated on a high point near the Atlantic coast, Óbidos had a strategic importance in the territory. Already occupied before the Romans arrived in the Iberian Peninsula, the village became more prosperous from the moment it was chosen by the royal family. Since the king D. Dinis offered to his wife D. Isabel, in the century. XIII, belonged to the House of the Queens who, throughout the various dynasties, were benefiting and enriching it. It is one of the main reasons for finding so many churches in this small town.
