About this activity
We pick you up at the meeting location (any point in Lisbon Area), and start from any point in the city of Porto but we suggest starting from the terrace in the Ribeira district, near the Douro river of Porto. There you will admire the traditional Rabelo boas, typically used for wine transportation down the river.

You won't miss out on a great time visiting the beautiful colorful buildings great restaurants and cafes by the river and a privilege view of the Luis I bridge. This part of town is so iconic that a few years ago UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site.

Clérigos Tower is the city´s landmark mos important Baroque building built in the 18th century, If you climb the 240 steps to the top, you will have the most beautiful panoramic sight of Porto rooftops and skies.

Porto Cathedral is not only a religious architectural monument, but for the locals it means the city district. So, after visiting this church, get lost on the streets along the way back to the city center and be amazed with the history and beautiful scenery along the way.

The white concrete structure of this twelve-store irregular shaped building forms a 1300 seat auditorium known has the Music House. It is clearly admired by its unique architectural characteristics.

The São Bento train station once was a convent. Designed with a French Renaissance touch, it has around 20.000 hand painted tiles covering most of the main atrium, alluding to the history of transportation and Portugal.

A "must stop to see" is the Majestic café, founded 90 years ago, This emblematic café has had illustrious visitors during those years, and it is said that JK Rowling spent there many hours writing her first Harry Potter book. You can also buy a book in one of the most beautiful book shops in the world and was served as inspiration to JK Rowling´s Harry Potter - the Lello Bookshop.

You have to enjoy the most popular "bite" in Porto - the "Francesinha" is the most famous Portuguese sandwich, this dish appeals to those with an appetite for spicy meats, and is most commonly followed by a cold beer.

And if we do have time, we´ll plan for you a visit to the wine cellars and sample the most famous Port wine. Inside the "caves" (cellars) you will learn all you need to know about the iconic and historical figures related to the Port wine and the Douro region.
