San Gimignano and Volterra Tour

Head off on the scenic route towards San Gimignano and Volterra.

On the way you’ll pass through a cozy village famed for its white truffles, where you can stop for a spot of truffle tasting.

San Gimignano is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once you have arrived, you’ll have plenty of time to stroll through the Medieval streets and take a glance at the characteristic little shops. Look up at the 14 towers for which the city is so famous and climb up the Torre Grossa to have a stunning view over the city. You’ll be escorted to Piazza della Cisterna, home to Gelateria Dondoli - which won twice the Ice Cream World Championship, to taste the best ice cream ever.

Then you’ll stop for an enjoyable lunch break on a hilltop family-run restaurant to savor local dishes such as homemade pasta, wild boar and fresh mushrooms.

After lunch, you’ll visit the Etruscan city of Volterra, famed for its alabaster boutiques and its welcoming atmosphere, where you can breathe history amid its ancient buildings.
