Windsor & the Royal Wedding
The marriage of Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle took place in Windsor on Saturday 19th May 2018.
Since their engagement was announced and it was revealed that St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle would be the venue for the wedding ceremony, the town of Windsor came together to ensure it was a memorable day for the happy couple and everybody who came to celebrate.
An estimated 110,000 people came to Windsor on Royal Wedding day to line the procession route which included the beautiful Long Walk in Windsor Great Park. The town looked fabulous and was blessed with perfect weather!
Lunch at the Harte & Garter hotel
On arrival in Windsor your guide will escort you to the restaurant of the Harte and Garter hotel, located opposite Windsor Castle right in the centre of the town. Built in the 14th century, the hotel offers old world charm and historic character, with modern amenities such as free WiFi throughout.
Your lunch consists of two courses with the menu as follows:
Mains
Pan-roasted Chicken Breast with Wilted Greens & Buttered New Potatoes
or
Vegetarian: Goats Cheese with Mediterranean Vegetables and potatoes
or
Vegan: Penne Arrabbiata
Dessert:
Apple crumble with custard

After lunch you will walk the short distance to Windsor Castle – the world’s largest occupied castle.
Windsor Castle has been home to the Royal family for over 900 years. You'll explore the castle grounds and the magnificent fourteenth century St. George's Chapel, one of the most beautiful examples of medieval church architecture in England.
You will see the steps to the entrance of the Chapel, now made world famous as the location where Prince Harry and Meghan Markel’s’ first kissed after their wedding.
A visit to the castle includes the exquisite State Apartments, St George's Chapel and Queen Mary's Doll House.
