About this activity

Your guide will pick you up from your London hotel in a traditional black taxi and you will set off early to reach Stonehenge for 9.30am. Here you will visit the most important pre-historic monument in Britain.

Once at Stonehenge you can walk in the footsteps of our Neolithic ancestors. You can have a good look around the ancient landscape, there is even time to step inside Neolithic Houses. Here you can discover the tools and objects of everyday Neolithic life. There will also be time to visit the exhibition and visitor centre, which houses over 250 ancient objects.

You can decide where to head next: Avebury a nearby village where you can visit Avebury Manor and Garden plus the Alexander Keiller Museum, or Bradford upon Avon, a unique combination of river, canal and architecture all rolled into one; or Bowood House, a beautiful 18th-century manor is nestled in the Wiltshire countryside; or Salisbury, ‘the city in the countryside’ where you will find the best preserved of the four original Magna Carta manuscripts dating from 1215AD; or Bath, the renowned UNESCO World Heritage site.
