About this activity
Do not miss this unique opportunity where you will get to enjoy a heritage walk of Qaiser Bagh with a local which will be followed by enjoying a rare Awadhi meal experience capturing several age-old family recipes. Meet your host Askari at a beautiful old bungalow on JC Bose Road, Qaiser Bagh, Lucknow from where you will begin the heritage walk. The walk details the beautifully symmetric palace and gardens. It explores the area that was called the China Bazaar, which was famous for its pottery.

After getting back to the bungalow (which is a concept space that curates recipes from old family homes) you can head to the dining table where you will be served dishes that are only prepared at the homes of these families. Savour dishes like Kacche Qeeme ke Kebab (A preparation of minced mutton, raw papaya with spices), Aloo Ghosht (spiced potatoes and mutton cooked on slow flame), Khatte Baingan (Eggplant cooked in tamarind and spices) and much more!

The entire experience can last for 3-4 hours.

Please note: This is a heritage walk coupled with a meal served at a commercially setup bungalow, although cooked by home-chefs who are locals of Lucknow.
