Once you have arrived in Edfu you guide will show you the modern city in the way to the temple , the temple which was built during the Ptolemaic Era between 237 BC and 57 BC ,consider to be the most preserved shrines of Ancient Egypt , the city was known as Apollonopolis Magna after the god Horus was identified as Apollo , Edfu was a very sacred place where they believed the god Horus revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth the devil and this consider to be the Ancient Drama ever recorded on the walls ,then continue your journey to Komombo ,once you have arrived in Komombo you will be taken to visit the charming Temple of Kom Ombo. The area was known as the sacred seat due to the ancient belief that the goddess Tefnut one of the nine gods who created the world she sat in the area when she visited , the temple of komombo is different from other Temples as it has dedicated to two gods , Horus the Falcon headed God and Sobek the Crocodile headed God of the Nile, the temple has the most important scenes of the ancient festival calendar and the ancient surgical instruments , before you finish your tour enjoy a short visit to the crocodile museum in your way out of the site , then enjoy a smooth and comfortable drive back to Luxor.
