About this activity
Walk through the rich past of Marrakech with a knowledgeable guide. You will be picked up at 9 am for a full-day of walking and learning. Your day begins at the foot of the largest mosque in Marrakesh, Koutoubia Mosque, also called the Mosque of the booksellers. This mosque corresponds to the Almohad dynasty and has its twin sister, the Giralda tower in Seville, Spain.

Dive into the ancient history of the kingdom and the city as you continue to the Gran Bahia Palace. Built in the late nineteenth century by Si Moussa, grand vizier of Sultan, it was intended to be the greatest palace of all time. Its name means "brilliance." Discover its interior filled with mosaics, intricate carved wood and flower gardens.

Explore Saadian tombs next, where the 60 members of the royal Saadi Dynasty are. Walk through the most famous room is that of the twelve columns containing the tomb of the son of Ahmad al-Mansur. After the visit, you will begin a guided walk inside the medina, crossing the old Mellah "Jewish quarter" to reach Jmaa el Fnaa Square, where you will have free time to purchase lunch.

Your tour will finish with the lively Jmaa el Fnaa Square before returning back to your hotel
