Guided tour of the Medina, Palaces and Tombs
Marrakech's medina is a labyrinth of alleys within alleys, a bustling town that is very chaotic to navigate, especially if you include the language barrier.
Luckily, this tour offers you an easy way to enjoy the highlights of Medina accompanied by a local guide. We will kick off the tour with a visit to the Maison Tiskiwin, a museum set up by a Dutch anthropologist and full of artefacts from Morocco and the Sahara. As the museum still functions as the anthropologist’s home, you will get two see the two souls of this landmark while hearing the stories of the objects on view.
You will then be immersed in the decadent environment of the Palais de Bahia and its gardens, once home of the high and mighty of Marrakech. Here you will be able to stroll through the many rooms, imagining how life looked like here, for slaves and sultans.
You will end up this tour with a visit to another highlight: the Photography Museum. Here the story of the city is told thorugh a selection of 4,500 photos that will allow you to glance into Marrakech as it was100 years ago.
Your tour will finish up back in Djemaa El-Fna, where your local guide will either be able to give you directions back to your accommodation, or you can continue your own Marrakech adventure in the souks and medina.
