See great panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean, the medina and the 19 bronze cannons in the Skala du Ville. A fascinating sea of blue fishing boats can be viewed at the Skala du Port (which is the only part of the fortifications that charge a small fee).

You will find Essaouira's beach to be packed with people kitesurfing, windsurfing and surfing due to the high winds that occur in this area. There beach also has camels, horses and dune buggies! If none of that interests you, then just enjoy the views and walk on the sandy beach.
