About this activity

Embark on a 2-hour walking tour and visit one of Sicily's most ancient cities. The tour will start at the Cathedral Square, where you can admire the bell tower with the biggest astronomic clock in the world, a complex mechanism created by the Ungerer brothers. Inside the Cathedral – the second largest in Sicily – you'll have the chance to see the beautiful mosaics in Byzantine style dating back to the 14th century. You'll continue on visiting the main sites: the Mountain of mercy, a testimony of mannerist architecture; the Church of San Francis of Assisi, built in 1254; the Palace Zanca, the town hall where you can visit the Antiquarian and the archaeological excavation, along with many more attractions.
And the end of the tour, check out the Theatre Vittorio Emanuele and inside you can admire the spectacular fresco of one of the most well-known legends in Messina.
