This walking tour will take you through the history of the war on drugs Mexico has gone through. You will also get a comprehensive revision of Mexico’s political stance on drugs and its social impact.

You will learn about the history of marijuana as you visit the first psychiatric Hospital. You'll also see nightclubs frequented by Kerouac and Burroughs, sites of Narcomenudeo (small-scale drug dealing), Vecindades that witnessed violence and current stages of activism. This mosaic of places and memories sheds light over the social and political dimensions of Mexico’s current War on Drugs to help you gain a greater understanding of this problem.
