After pickup at a central meeting point, you will head to San Angel neighborhood where you will enjoy a wonderful walking tour. Admire one of the most beautiful places in Southern Mexico city and learn all about what used to be a rural area and is now a picturesque part of town and a historical monument zone. San Angel is a neighborhood was a community called Tenanitla in the pre-Hispanic period and its current name comes from the El Carmen monastery school called San Ángel Mártir located in the neighborhood. 
Walk around each corner of town and admire incredible art from the locals as well as historic buildings. You'll also see plazas, narrow stone-paved streets, single or two floored houses made of brick or painted with vivid colors, balconies facing the avenues with vines and decorated front doors.
On this tour you’ll visit some of the most representative places of the area, such as Centro Cultural San Ángel, which was part of Colegio Del Carmen. You’ll also visit Casa del Risco, former residence of various characters of Mexican history and also used as barracks during the Mexican–American War, a hospital and now a museum related to the Mexican Revolution.
Other interesting places you’ll get to visit are the Hacienda Goicochea (San Ángel Inn) which purpose was becoming a monastery; San Jacinto’s Temple, one of the oldest in Mexico City and the Jaime Sabines House. This was also known as the former Casa del Agua, which used to be the cistern of the Carmelite’s vegetable garden that had the important task to store water from the Magdalena River. Now, it offers different kinds of artistic and cultural activities.
You’ll also visit El Carmen Museum, which contains chapels, altarpieces, reliquaries, crypts, mummies and sculptures and paintings by Luis Juárez, Juan Correa, Cristóbal de Villalpando, Juan Becerra, Miguel Cabrera and Isidoro Vicente de Balbás. One of the major attractions in this museum is the exhibition of the mummified bodies of the Carmelites and benefactors of the former convent and school of El Carmen.
After a great day of sightseeing, you'll return to the original meeting point where the tour ends.
