Balloon Flight Experience near Milan

Soar above the Milan countryside, riding aboard a hot air balloon. Away from the crowded sidewalks and busy shops, you'll find yourself surrounded by a peaceful silence, broken only by the occasional blast of hot air from the burner. You'll be able to take in a 360-degree view of the skies and landscape, with roads and people becoming the size of models. It's a magical experience you won't want to miss.

You can fly in every season of the year and in winter and autumn at any time of the day; in spring and summer, you can choose between two of the most beautiful times of the day: just after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset. Meet the crew and your fellow participants at your meeting point. The pilot will check you in here, then he will use a small helium balloon to determine the direction and the strength of the wind and to establish a take off point, that is usually within 4-5 km from the meeting point. Get on a jeep to reach the take off point, where you will see the crew preparing for take off, mounting and inflating the balloon. You will also be given a safety instructions leaflet.

The flight is usually 40 to 60 minutes long, but you should allow 3 to 4 hours for the whole experience, as it includes the check-in and take off preparation operations, a toast at the end of the flight, and check-out and landing operations. You can determine the exact route of the balloon because the pilot can't change the direction, but only follows the wind. The pilot can raise or lower the hot air balloon by controlling the temperature inside the balloon. You will fly up to 500 m high (1500 ft), but also as high as the top of the trees. The charm of a hot air balloon also lies in the fact that you can't predict the exact point of landing: it can be some nice green grass, or it can be a rice or corn field! That's why every flight is unique and worth sharing with your friends and loved ones. At the end of your flight, toast with an excellent glass of local wine (evening flight) or a special breakfast (morning flight) with the other participants. You will then come back with a jeep.
