Guided tour of the exhibition "A Leaf-Shaped Animal Draws The Hand" by Daniel Steegmann Mangrané

A cultural mediator will accompany you to the discovery of the exhibition "A Leaf-Shaped Animal Draws The Hand" by Daniel Steegmann Mangrané (Barcelona, 1977; lives and works in Rio de Janeiro) whose interest in biology has led to investigate complex ecological systems and to introduce the natural world into his works.

In his practice there are numerous references to the rainforest in Brazil - such as branches, leaves and insects - which, combined with geometric shapes and abstract motifs, open the way to reflections on the complex dynamics between the elements that surround us.

His first exhibition in Italy presents more than twenty works created since 1998, ranging from films, virtual reality settings, 2D holograms, sculptures and installations.

The artist places the physical and sensory dimension of the spectator at the center of the exhibition project, offering new visions of the entire corpus of his works, put into dialogue with each other.
