About this activity
Your tour starts at the port of Monaco once your ship docks. You can start at any time you'd like, but 9 a.m. is recommended. Your itinerary is flexible, but below is a sample itinerary.

From Monaco port, head to the castle hill. Magnificent palaces, casinos, luxury shops, and exotic gardens are waiting for you. Your guide will tell you the fascinating story of a sovereign state between Nice and the Italian border, that perfectly captures the essence of the Côte d'Azur with its palaces in the rococo style, gardens, world-famous casinos, and glamour of the royal family. There will also be some free time during which you can see the changing of the guard in front of the palace of the Prince, take pictures or buy souvenirs.

Next, head to Monte Carlo. By car, drive along the famous Grand Pris Formula One racetrack. Visit the Monte Carlo casino, and can enjoy an optional walk around the Japanese Garden.

After Monaco, go to Eze. Take a stroll through the old town with your guide. This old village is huddled around a substantial medieval fortress, with rocks and houses of similar hues blending into each other. Afterward, your guide takes you to the Fragonard perfume factory near the town of Eze. It offers you the opportunity to learn all the stages of perfume production. Your guide will take you for a tour of the factory. Make sure you peruse the factory shop, where you can treat yourself to a wonderful new perfume (own expense).

Your guide will then take you to the Old Town of Nice. You will drive across the Promenade des Anglais, this wide promenade, facing south and flanking the sea along its entire length, provides wonderful views of the Baie des Anges and a popular place for a lengthy stroll. The guide will show you the famous architectural buildings located on the Promenade des Anglais: Hotel Negresco, the Massena Museum, Mediterranean Palace and we will stop in front of the Old Town near the Apolonia monument on the Square Massena.

Take a stroll through the old town with your guide. A visit begins on the Cours Saleya where are many small and cozy shops and restaurants, this elegant Baroque square is home to the famous flower and vegetable market. You will visit the Cathedrale Ste-Reparate built in 1650 by local architect JA Gilberto in honour of Nice's patron saint, the cathedral is topped by an 18c dell tower and tiles that stands out on the Nice skyline.
