About this activity
Take a four-hour guided drive back in time through Moscow’s dramatic and unique past. Moscow, the 850-year old capital of Russia, is also the hub of the Great Russian Empire. Explore the lore and facts of this city that has experienced some of the world’s most fascinating historical events.

You and your small tour group will drive toward old Moscow City, passing skyscrapers from the Stalin ear. Traveling along Myanitskaya Street, your guide will show you the “Old Town of Masters” located in front of Kitay Town. Take a stop at the Sofiiskaya Embankment for a magnificent view to the old Kremlin structures. From here you will also see the famous Peter the Great monument created by soviet sculptor, Zeretelli.

Your tour continues at the main Moscow Cathedral and holy place for all Muscovites, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Take in the beautiful architecture of the church. Then back to the car for a drive through the business center out to the New Maiden Convent. Grab your camera for this photo stop to snap a photo of the best known cloister in Moscow. Unlike other Moscow cloisters, the New Maiden Convent has remained virtually intact since the 17th century. Nearby is the haunting New Maiden Cemetery available for view.
