The first step will be in St John the Baptist Monastery which was founded by the order of Ivan's mother, Great Princess Elena. The main Cathedral was consecrated on the day of the heir's birth. You will learn about Ivan's childhood and his wonderful mother. Then we will proceed to St Barbara street (Varvarka) to see Old English Court granted to the English merchants by the Tsar himself. You will learn why Ivan distinguished the British so much. The unique St Basil's in Red Square is our next step. You will know about Ivan's great military victories and the story of the church while visiting it (entry fee included). Next we'll walk to the Kremlin and visit its 3 Cathedrals, such as Assumption, Archangel Michael and Annunciation Cathedrals. Each Cathedral carries the signs of ideology which was formed under Ivan's the Terrible rule. The Assumption Cathedral witnessed the coronation, the Annunciation Cathedral all 7 weddings of the Terrible Tsar and Archangel Michael the resting place for him and his 3 sons. Finally we'll get to the spot of "oprichnina" castle where we'll complete the story about the terrible tsar. So, you will be able to answer the question 'Why Ivan was called the Terrible".
