About this activity
This three hour walk covers 3 kilometres, the trail beginning at F.W Steven’s gothic masterpiece, the grand Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus(CST), also known as the Victoria Terminus. Forming the heart of Mumbai, CST is also a World Heritage Site as declared by UNESCO in 2004. Walk down D.N.Road, also called the ‘Heritage Mile’ of Mumbai, while admiring one of the oldest parts of the city, making your way to the ornate Flora Fountain. Here, soak in the atmosphere of one of the busiest precincts of Mumbai.

A small walk away lies Kala Ghoda, an art district with its gothic buildings and art galleries creating a distinct charm that is unmatched. You will then be proceeding towards the Oval Maidan. Here, in a body of troops lie the Old Secretariat, University Library and Convocation Hall, High Court building, the old Public Works Department building and Telegraph Department, forming a truly imperial vision like a fleet of massive stone battleships-monolithic, awe-inspiring and supremely self-confident. As a group they integrate to form an impressively romantic skyline, bequeathing an identity and style to the city that is unique and charming.

Finally take the Veer Nariman Road down to Marine Drive. Sip on some soothing lemonade and munch on an energy bar as you enjoy a fantastic view of the art-deco skyline that has become an identity of Mumbai.
