Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi Kenya

Day 1 Nairobi –Samburu Game Reserve:

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north to the semi-arid bush country of Samburu. On your way drive past large pineapple plantations, the Kenya fertile highlands and Equator .Samburu is in the northern frontier of Kenya. It is described to be majestic and to have rugged features. You will arrive in time for lunch at the Samburu Intrepid camp. An Afternoon game drive in this park which is famous for its endemic species. The Ewaso Nyiro River otherwise known as river of brown waters has made the place hospitable for the wildlife as it provides water to this and surrounding areas. The rare species include reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy Zebra and Beisa oryx. Big cat like lion, cheetah and leopard can also be seen here. Sunsets at Samburu are spectacular offering a beautiful backdrop for you. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 On safari in Samburu:

After breakfast enjoy a full day of game viewing in this northern frontier. The communities around Samburu also have a rich culture. The Samburu’s are a relative of the Maasai but with beautiful features and also very beautifully adorned with colorful beads. Your options are vast from the scheduled game drives to the optional guided nature walks and cultural visits. Samburu itself is physically dramatic featuring rocky battlements, dry river beds, extensive thorn shrub and the backdrop of the distant hills of the Northern Frontier District Return to camp at in the late afternoon. Enjoy spectacular sunset views from the comfort of your veranda before dinner and overnight at Camp.

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi Kenya

Day 3 Samburu- Sweetwater’s Tented Camp:

Depart Samburu in the morning and head back towards the rich and fertile central highlands. Arrive at Sweetwater’s a private ranch and Rhino sanctuary that lies between Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares. After your lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the Rhinos the Ranch is famous for. The Sweetwater’s Chimpanzee Sanctuary is the only one of its kind in Kenya. Here visitors can enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the orphaned chimps that vary in age from 2-15 yrs. Most of these chimps have originality at the Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Mans closest relative. On a sunny day or morning, you are sure to enjoy the spectacular views of the snow peaked Mt Kenya. Dinner and Overnight at the Sweetwater’s Tented Camp.

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park Kenya

Day 4 Sweet Waters-Lake Nakuru National Park:

After an early breakfast bid farewell to Samburu. You drive south through the cosmopolitan town of Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, until you get to Nanyuki town. Here you'll head west to Nyahururu Falls, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237ft cascade. After a brief stopover, drive southward to your next destination, Lake Nakuru a home to a million of flamingoes beautifully lining at its shores. (Please note this varies with the climate and the water levels at the lake) Lake Nakuru National Park surrounds the lake and was gazetted to protect the colony of flamingoes as well as provide sanctuary for the endangered species as such the rhino. Other Savannah games are abounded in and not mention other bird species. Enjoy your stay at the Sarova Lion hill lodge.

Stop At: Mara Triangle - Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

Day 5 Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara:

On this day, we head out to one of the most beautiful wildlife arenas. Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations. You will arrive at the camp in time for lunch. You are entitled to a morning and afternoon game viewings in the reserve, or you can decide to book an optional balloon ride over the plains of the Maasai Mara which takes you over the diverse habitats of the Maasai Mara Reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah. The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. Surprise bush champagne breakfast is usually served on landing. All meals and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge

Stop At: Mara Triangle - Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

Day 6 Maasai Mara Game reserve:

Enjoy a full game drive in this world spectacle. Choose between two game drives or a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Maasai Mara Game Reserve is the most spectacular of all Kenyan parks and reserves, and here you have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. The Reserve covers an area of 700 square miles and forms part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Apart from the big five, there are lots of birds of prey and not forgetting the tall athletic Maasai tribesmen. Cross your fingers for a hunt which can be one of the most rewarding and exciting action to see on safari. The annual wildebeest migration traditionally is present in the Mara from July-September and at this time nature's dramas unfold before your very eyes at every turn. Day 7 Maasai Mara – Nairobi:

Today is the end of our seven day journey across Kenya. We leave Maasai Mara in the morning after breakfast. We arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch at the Carnivore restaurant.
