Stop At: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki, Kenya

The day will start in Nairobi at 6:00 am and depart for the famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares Ranges and the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Make the first stop at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a refuge for chimpanzees from around West and Central Africa. Learn about some of the chimpanzees that live in the sanctuary’s natural enclosures, and see the primates as they approach a feeding platform. You will also visit informative conservation centre which has lots of interesting artefacts as well as get to hear more about Baraka and Morani’s Stories. Continue into the Ol Pejeta Conservancy for a game drive across the open plains, which are home to a remarkable population of rare animals including wild dogs, zebras, cheetahs, and hartebeest, as well as the “Big Five”: lion, Cape buffalo, African elephant, leopard, and rhinoceros. You will have lunch at one the lodges within the game sanctuary for lunch.

In mid-afternoon, begin the return trip to Nairobi,with game drive as you exit the conservancy bringing to an end a magical safari in Olpejeta.
