It was initially referred to as southern game reserve, where settlers in Nairobi rode horses among gazelles, impalas and zebras. Nairobi National Park is the only park within a city in the whole world. It is the only park where you cannot only see wildlife but also adopt it e.g by visiting the nearby David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where you can feed, touch and adopt an elephant.
