About this activity

The suggestive Crypts of San Domenico are home to the tomb of Ippolita Cantelmo Stuart of the Royal Family of Scotland, poet, scholar, and close friend of Gian Battista Vico. Like many other members of the illustrious Neapolitan family owner of the crypt, Ippolita rests in one of the 40 burial coffins made in white Carrara marble, in a series of spaces dominated by an altar with a precious bas-relief by Giuseppe Sanmartino.

The Crypt is usually open only on the month of November but you will have exclusive access to this beautiful environment every day of the year along with the Chapel, the Sacristy, St. Thomas' Chapel, and the Convent. Don't miss out on this unique and exclusive opportunity!
