The third experience is a 1.5 hour underground Naples tour with a local guide. Go on a fascinating journey through the history of Naples, from the ancients Greeks through today. Discover a different world at the heart of Naples, beneath the streets, where the city was born. Walk down 136 steps to a depth of around 40 meters and visit a few of the cavities excavated during the Greek age. The cavities were used as water cisterns to supply the city for 23 centuries. Visit a typical Neapolitan house and once inside, open a hatch underneath a bed for access to the ruins of the ancient Roman theater.
