About this activity
This tour starts from your hotel and visits all major tourist destinations in Old Delhi, New Delhi & South Delhi. See the major sights of Delhi while learning about the history and culture of the city. You will visit the following places:

1. Birla Temple: Also called The Laxmi Narayana Temple, this temple is adorned with many shrines, fountains, and a large garden. The temple is one of the major attractions of Delhi and attracts thousands of devotees on the Hindu festivals of Janmashtami and Diwali.

2. India Gate: The India Gate is the national monument of India. Situated in the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It was built in 1931. Originally known as All India War Memorial, it is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the 90,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives while fighting for the British Indian Empire, or more correctly the British Raj in World War I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War.

3. Raj Ghat: Raj Ghat is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Gandhiji's cremation on 31 January 1948. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end. It is located on the banks of the river Yamuna on Ring Road, which is officially known as Mahatma Gandhi Road.

4. Red Fort: The Red Fort us usually transcribed in English as Lal Qil'ah or Lal Qila. It is a 17th century fort complex constructed by the Lal Qila in the walled city of Old Delhi (in present day Delhi, India) that served as the residence of the Imperial Family of India. It also served as the capital of the Mughals until 1857, when Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled by the British Indian government. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.

5. Jama Masjid: This is the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India. It was commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, and completed in the year 1628 AD. It is the largest and best-known mosque in India. It lies at the origin of a very busy central street of Old Delhi, the Chawri Bazar Road.

6. Humayun's Tomb: The tomb was commissioned by Humayun's wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562 CE and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyath, a Persian architect. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and is located in Nizamuddin East, close to the Dina-panah citadel that Humayun founded in 1533.

8. Lotus Temple: The Bahá'í House of Worship is popularly known as the Lotus Temple due to its flowerlike shape. It was completed in 1986 and serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian subcontinent.
