About this activity
Experience a different side of Old Delhi with an early morning bike ride. Heading out before the city awakens, we discover hidden gems on two wheels before the hustle and bustle of the day begins.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TOUR-
Turakman Gate
Chawri Bazar
Bread Bakery
Jama Masjid
Sikh Temple
Spice Market
Haveli in Old Delhi
Our cycling tour will include a stop at Turkman Gate - one of the five remaining gates of Old Delhi. At Bakery we'll see the bakers preparing bread for the day and we'll also stop outside of Jama Masjid - one of the largest mosques in India.
Continuing on we'll visit Gurudwara Sis Ganj - a Sikh temple and the location of a community kitchen that serves up to 20,000 people every day. At the Spice Market we'll head up to the rooftop to enjoy hot tea and cookies while enjoying views of the city below, and then we'll eat a traditional Indian breakfast at a local café before finishing up our morning cycling tour of Old Delhi with a ride through the narrow backstreets.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Starts/Ends: 5.30am to 9.30am (Mar - Sept) & 06:30am to 10.30am(Sep - Feb).
Mountain bikes with disc brakes & helmets are provided, all you need is comfortable clothes (avoid shorts if you can as we will be visiting some religious places) and a sense of adventure. Padded bike pants would only be required if you scare easily. This tour is by no means for only experts or skilled cyclists.
