Indian-inspired Cooking Class in New York City with a Local New Yorker

3h30
About this activity
This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore food culture and cuisine. Join your host Zoe at her open kitchen in her small Upper East Side studio apartment in Manhattan. Over a glass of wine, learn to cook Indian-inspired comfort food. Based on your preference, Zoe can offer either a hands-on cooking class or a cooking demonstration. Zoe’s dishes are a creative take on family recipes. Based on your flavor profile, Zoe will customize a comfort food menu for you. You will learn to cook 3 dishes curing your cooking lesson that lasts about two hours. After cooking, enjoy the meal you helped prepare with Zoe on her couch. Your menu includes an appetizer, main, side and dessert. Your menu might include dishes such as fresh ricotta with tandoor olive oil, spiced duck and frites (pan-seared duck breast seasoned with coriander, cumin and black pepper served with duck fat fried potatoes) served with saffron risotto and a dessert of store-bought ice cream. On occasion, Zoe’s friends may join you for your meal. Get local tips about New York City from your host Zoe, a young and fun Manhattan resident.
