About this activity
Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun!

In this fun, hands-on cooking class, you will learn how to make 3 types of sushi rolls:

Futomaki – futomaki is a thick roll made up of nori (seaweed) and flavored sushi rice. This is a vegetarian roll filled with julienne of carrots, cucumber, avocado and Japanese omelette.

Uramaki California Roll – uramaki is also referred to as an inside-out roll because the nori (seaweed) is on the inside and the rice is on the outside. A uramaki California roll includes imitation crab known as surimi, cucumber and avocado. *Can also be made as a maki roll.

Maki Sushi – makisushi is similar to futomaki in that the nori is filled with flavored sushi rice and includes various ingredients such as tuna, salmon, imitation crab and vegetables.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Hello, I'm Chef Wanda and people often ask me what's my favorite thing to cook and I usually reply "everything!"

My culinary journey began as a young girl in New York City in a little place called Nana’s kitchen, cooking alongside my grandmother. Sunday dinner was where it all started. It was a weekly celebration of family and friends that was just as much about the food as it was about feeding the soul. We would start preparing for the grand feast by going to local markets where I was taught how to cherry pick the freshest fruits, vegetables, fish & meat.

After many years of climbing the corporate ladder and cooking for fun, I decided to hang up my heels and cook professionally. I landed at ICE – The Institute of Culinary Education. I studied under great culinary minds like Chef Chris Gesauldi who earned 3 stars in the New York Times and was sous chef to Michelin Star Chef Thomas Keller.
