The Met Fifth Avenue

The Met Fifth Avenue contains millions of works in collections from different time-periods and geographical origins. The Arms and Armor Collection, Arts of Africa, Egyptian Art, the American Wing, Greek and Roman art and Islamic Art are just some of the exhibits you can find.

The Met Breuer

The Met Breuer is a new site designed by Marcel Breuer (pronounced BROI-er). Here, you can experience modern and contemporary art in a historical collection that reflects visual expression across cultures - art from every corner of the world.

The Met Cloisters

The Met Cloisters shows works from the personal collection of John D. Rockefeller as well as art from medieval Europe - all contained within partially reconstructed 16th-century French cloisters. A testament to European medieval art and architecture - found in a unique and suggestive ambiance.

Temporary Exhibitions

Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination - now until October 8, 2018. The Costume Institute's spring 2018 exhibition features a dialogue between fashion and medieval art from The Met collection to examine fashion's ongoing engagement with devotional practices and traditions of Catholicism. Here you'll see papal robes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel sacristy, many of which have never been seen before outside The Vatican.
