Private Verdon Gorge (Gorges du Verdon) Full-Day Tour

Start the day out by heading inward and upward in Provence, with beautiful countryside and mountains. Of course, you will have time for some nice photo stops and enjoy fabulous views out over the vast open expanses and the sea.

Once in Castelane there will be time for break to eat something. For those who wish, even hike up the mountain to a beautiful old church with a stunning view over the village. Continue your journey through beautiful scenery and gradually approach the river, which you will follow on this trip. Visit another wonderful medieval village called Mostier. There is time to stroll around the small narrow streets and alleys and doing some shopping of Provencal quality goods. It has a nice church high above the village, where you can hike up if desired.

Next, head to the beautiful Lake St. Croix, almost magical with its wonderful turquoise color. If desired you can rent a pedal boat or kayak here, or why not just swim or enjoy a picnic.

During lavender season (typically July) your guide can also arrange a visit to the lavender fields when they are in full flower (extra expense).
