In this exciting, up close encounter, you will help feed the penguins their breakfast or lunch depending on your tour option.

Little Penguins (or Fairy Penguins) are native to New Zealand and are often seen in our surrounding coastal areas.

The Little Penguin is the smallest of the penguin species, weighing in at around 1 kilogram in weight and approx. 30cm in height.

Once you have finished your encounter you are free to make your way around the rest of the Aquarium at your leisure.

Penguin encounters are run twice daily, at 9.00am and 1.00pm (excludes Christmas Day). Once you have made your booking, you will be contacted by the National Aquarium team to confirm you preferred time slot.

On the day of your encounter, please report to the Aquarium reception at least 10 minutes before your encounter.

Covered shoes must be worn and participants will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival.

Maximum number 4 people.

Minimum age is 6 years old and at least 1 paying adult must be included.
