After being picked up at your city hotel, ride through the sites of the modern Capital City on your way to the Colonial City or "Casco Antiguo", built in 1673, with Spanish architecture. Drive through the stretched streets, plazas, and public parks, which still conserve part of our history Take in the flavor of our heritage at iconic sites like France Plaza, Las Bovedas, San Jose Church, with its wonderful gold altar, the Flat Arch, and Cathedral Church. Also here were the French workers who, led by Ferdinand de Lesseps, initiated the project of the Panama Canal. They had their homes built with French architecture. The Panama Canal Interoceanic Museum is located here, as well as the Palacio de las Garzas, the official office of Panama's President. You will ride to the enchanted Balboa area, which is a residential area of the former Panama Canal Zone, now reverted to Panama. Admire the Panama Canal Administration Building on a hill and then head to Miraflores Locks where we will have the chance to see the vessels transiting the locks. Also, visit the new Visitor Center to see memorabilia and canal-related items. Watch the Panama Canal Commission audiovisual where the operation of this important Inter-oceanic waterway is explained. Finally, we will take you to the Amador Causeway, a man-made connection of three islands, with a strong tourist development from where you will have a breathtaking view of the city and have time to purchase souvenirs at Duty Free stores. Visit the Albrook Mall, near the local airport, which is fully air-conditioned. It's considered to be the largest mall in Central America, boasting a large number of shops and stores with a variety of merchandise at excellent prices. Also, find entertainment and movie theaters plus many different international restaurants, fast food, or national cuisine. We will pick you up at 5 pm to return to your city hotel.
