About this activity
After check-in, the passengers board our Mega Catamaran “The Panamar”, to begin our tour of the Panama Canal.

Our partial tour through the Panama Canal begins entering the Miraflores Locks, where the ship ascends a total of 18 meters in two stages and leaving the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Then, they enter Miraflores Lake, which is a small freshwater lake that separates the two locks on the Pacific side of the Canal. We cross the Miraflores Lake until we reach the Pedro Miguel Locks, where the ship ascends 9 meters. When you leave the Pedro Miguel locks, you can see the Centennial bridge.

“The Panamar”, continues cruising and enters the famous Culebra Cut, known like that because its curves resemble a snake. “The Panamar” navigates the 13.7 kilometers that comprise the cut in its transit to the area of Gamboa, where the facilities of the Dragados Division of the Panama Canal Authority are located.

Upon arrival at the facilities of the dredging Division, passengers disembark and board our buses that transport them back to the Flamenco Marina. This transfer lasts about 45 minutes and part of the drive is thru our beautiful rainforest.
