About this activity
Day 1: We pick you up at your hotel and then make sure we get anything we may need at the supermarket (just in case you want to buy your personal items and snacks).
The ride from the City to Yaviza, Darien would be about 5 hours with several stops. Border patrol will require passports and the permits to visit that area. We will process your permits at least 72 hours before. On the way to Darien, we will pass the Bayano Lake, the guna indigenous reservation of Madugandí and will finally arrive to the end of the Panamerican Highway that starts in Alaska.
In Yaviza we will eat a yummy yummy afro style meal and then board a panga (canoe) and navigate on the Chucunaque River and Tuira rivers.
The road transportation would await on us (a pick up) and you may need to ride in the back with your belongings (fuuuun).
If we are lucky, it will take us to the Village. If we are luckier, it may get stuck and the adventure will begin, we may need to walk 1 or 2 kms.
We will sleep in tents or beds with mosquito nets. whatever is available.
The Emberas will receive us withtheir arms wide open.
Day 2: We will explore the largest National Park in Central America: The National Park Darien, and look for our national bird: the Harpy Eagle as well as other animals of the panamanian fauna, discover plants used by the Emberas and reach a small, fantastic, waterfall.
Day 3: Delicious breakfast and return to Panama City by 4:30 - 5:00 pm (unless traffic is heavy).
