About this activity

Itinerary

Be an assistant English teacher at the local mountain community school.
Live immersed in a loving family in Ojo De Agua, in the heart of the Panamanian mountains.
Help in ESL classroom sessions for the adults of the community.
Build up and maintain our G.A.T. ( Go Across Travel ) community library and reward the students in the "frequent readers" incentives.
Hike, Walk or run through the mountains.
Visit a waterfall(s)
Learn/practice your Spanish
Raise awareness and promote environmental sustainability.
Help develop sustainable tourism practices
This sustainable initiative is endorsed by the tourism authority and requires screening of the participants.

Included

Breakfast - Your host family will make this for you. It may consist of eggs, empanadas, rice, fruit, coffee, tea, porridge, and or toast, cheese.
Lunch - This will also vary depending on your host family. Rice and chicken, beans, empanadas, sandwiches, salads, fruit, fresh lemonade, soda, coffee, teas.
Dinner - Also, dependent on your host family. Fresh fruit ( that is in season ), potatoes, carne, chicken, spaghetti, arroz con pollo, tomatoes, onions, sancocho ( soup ).
