Stop At: Louvre Museum, 99 rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris France

Your guide will meet you outside the Louvre and lead you past the famously long lines into the museum – straight to the one piece you can’t afford to miss, the ‘Mona Lisa’. This enigmatic portrait must have been the subject of intense study by Da Vinci, who never considered it complete, and it resists easy interpretation even today. Your guide will tell you the painting’s background, but only you can decide how it makes you feel.

From here, you’ll visit the iconic ‘Venus de Milo’ and ‘Winged Victory of Samothrace’, followed by important examples from the history of painting and sculpture. Throughout the tour, your guide will tell the stories of the masterpieces and point out the subtle details most visitors miss.

Following the tour, you’re free to continue exploring the museum. Revisit the essential masterworks with your new knowledge in hand; embark on your own journey of discovery; or simply take the rest of the day to enjoy more of Paris.
