The Grand Voliere
Welcome to the temple of birds in captivity! Prepare for an incredible trip around five themed aviaries, one for each of the biogeographical zones: Oceania-Australia, South-East Asia, Africa and South America. Immense and finely decorated, the all-metal Grande Volière has been a fixture at the Jardin since it first opened in 1860. It offers an enchanting, totally immersive experience, with over 40 species housed in its huge pavilions.
From exotic birds to the more commonplace varieties found in our farmyards, 150 of our feathered friends will parade before your eyes. Animals keen to meet you include the rainbow-colored lorikeets, who are sure to land on your hand to snack on their favorite feed...
