About this activity
Your family Louvre experience explores one of history’s most incredible civilizations: Ancient Egypt. This educational program is designed to encourage kids to think like archaeologists by using the Louvre’s world-renowned Egyptian collection to bring people from the past into the present.

Children will explore key areas of Egypt’s civilization, such as the Nile River, a scribe’s workshop, and a pharaoh’s crypt. In each area, your kids learn to engage meaningfully with key objects using a variety of thinking tools to understand what they say about Ancient Egyptian beliefs.

With your private guide, your young archaeologists will voyage down the Nile, stopping at each area to decode a series of symbols that allow you to proceed to the next stage of the adventure. As a final challenge, learn how to write your name in Egyptian symbols.

When your tour ends, stay at the museum as long as you like to see artworks such as Mona Lisa, if you wish.
