Parma native Monia is a cheese expert who will be your private guide for your Parmigiano Reggiano tour and tasting at the Bertinelli cheese facility. The Bertinelli Farm was founded in 1800, on the hills of Medesano, in the province of Parma. This farm has been producing the milk for Parmigiano Reggiano for over 200 years.

Monia is passionate about the local produce in her area and is delighted to introduce you to how authentic Parmigiano Reggiano cheese is produced in this modern facility. She will describe the production process and explain why Parmigiano can only be produced specifically in the Parma area and how it becomes Parmigiano after the maturation period.
