Swan River Dolphin Watch and Wildlife Tour

About this activity
After collecting you from your hotel in our air conditioned mini bus, we will head to a sheltered area of the Swan River to go in search of dolphins and other wildlife. Once the kayaks have been unloaded from the trailer, your guide will show you how the pedal powered kayaks and paddle boards work and everyone gets to have a quick practice close to shore before we head off as a group. You don't need to be able to swim and we have life jackets for everyone. Depending on the wind conditions, we also send up our Mavic Pro drone so we can take some picture and video of you on the water from the air.

Before we head off, your guide will tell you about the life of the dolphins in the river and what to look out for. We don't always see dolphins, some days they are a bit hard to find but we know their favourite spots. There is always lots of bird life on the river to look at, we see pelicans, cormorants, terns, occasionally sea eagles and we may see some black swans which is how the Swan River got it's name.

We usually pedal for around 2 hours, sometimes we stop along the way and look at some native vegetation and allow people to the chance to change from a kayak to a Stand Up Paddle Board. At the end of the tour, we find a nice spot to sit and have some light snacks and a glass of wine from the famous Margaret River or Great Southern region of WA.
