Mutter Museum General Admission

America's finest museum of medical history, the Mutter Museum is home to expansive collections of anatomical specimens, models, and medical instruments displayed safely in glass cabinets. So named after Thomas Dent Mutter, MD, a 19th century physician, professor, and fellow of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the museum began with a core collection of 1,700 of Mutter's teaching objects and specimens. The collection now includes over 25,000 objects.

Visitors to the museum will be introduced to the history and culture of medicine. Explore various permanent and rotating exhibits, including Soap Lady, a collection of human skulls, specimen from John Wilkes Booth’s vertebra, jaw tumor of President Grover Cleveland, photographic art and illustrations, Einstein’s brain, the tallest skeleton on display in North America, and more.
