Sete Cidades Hike and Termas da Ferraria from Ponta Delgada

Begin your day with a pick up from your hotel around 9am, then head to the west side of São Miguel. A professional tour guide starts with a safety briefing and general introduction to the area. Trek to Sete Cidades Lake (Lagoa de Setes Cidades), the most famous lake on the island and learn about its romantic history on the way. Observe the beautiful scenery and unique landscape that can't be seen anywhere else.
Afterward, travel along the south coast and stop in Termas da Ferraria, a relaxing ocean bathing area. There, the salt water is heated inside of a volcanic fissure, also known as a volcanic vent, that functions as a hot spring. Take time to wade in the area after hiking approximately seven miles (11-km) along the coast. Once you are done wading in the naturally heated pool, change into dry clothes, and begin your journey back to your original departure point.
